After graduating from Oxford University in Modern History, Sarah has specialised as a Family Law solicitor since 1996. She has been at Charles Russell LLP since 1999 and was made a partner in 2008.

Sarah advises on all aspects of relationship breakdown for both married and unmarried couples and those in civil partnerships. This includes resolving any issues which arise over arrangements for the children and finances. Her cases often include an international element and substantial assets. She has acted in many cases involving the international relocation of children.

Sarah also regularly advises on the drafting of pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

Sarah co-wrote "Child Contact: Law and Practice" published by the Law Society in 2006. She has also appeared in webinars and legal television programmes on the subject of Family Law. She has written articles for various legal publications.

Sarah trained as a collaborative lawyer in 2007 and is a mediator. She firmly believes that the collaborative process offers couples in appropriate cases the opportunity to work together to achieve a constructive and mutually acceptable outcome to their cases which will benefit the family in the future.

Sarah is a member of Resolution.
